Satellite view of cloud thickness

How does the thickness of a cloud change the way it looks from the satellite?

This image is in the visible part of the specturm, and the radiant energy is a function of not just temperature, as was the case in the IR example.

Dragging on the cloude changes its thickness and its effective brightness.

You can modify the surface temperature using the black triangle on the horizontal sliding scale. This will, in turn, alter the brightness of the scene.
