LESSON 4: WINDS
Objectives
The motion of air is important for flight and for weather. It is therefore crucial that you understand the forces that make the air move. The book provides a good discussion on these forces. It is also important that you learn how to read an upper-air weather. This lesson will introduce you to the upper-air maps. We will have lots more to say about them later. So, the major objectives are:
- Understand the fundamental forces that drive the winds.
- Learn to read upper air maps.
